73 Cows
Where are your tissues? It’s going to be a teary ride. ?
This is a 15-minute short movie detailing the story of a beef farmer, Jay Wilde, who gave up his entire herd of cattle for sustainable organic vegan farming.
The movie captures Wilde’s internal struggle with taking his cattle for slaughter, leading up to his ultimate decision to transition to organic plant-based farming.
73 Cows won the best film category at the 2018 Ottawa Vegan Film Festival
WALL-E
This movie confirms our fear: our wastefulness will ruin the planet.
In the movie, the earth is deserted, over-run with garbage, and devoid of plant and animal life due to years of environmental degradation and thoughtless consumerism.
A robot, WALL-E, which is short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class, is sent to tidy up the planet by humans who evacuated.
WALL-E soon develops a personality and falls in love with a shapely probe (EVE) that was sent back to Earth on a scanning mission.
In love, WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure across the galaxy with EVE leading the way. ?
Babe
This movie is about a farmer who wins a piglet named Babe at a county fair.
Babe narrowly escapes his fate as Christmas dinner when the farmer decides to show him at the next fair. Babe then bonds with motherly border collie, Fly, and discovers that he too can herd sheep.
However, Babe is faced with a challenge: he doesn’t conform to the farm’s social hierarchy.
Why don’t you find out what happens to Babe next? ?
The Search for Santa Paws
This movie is about a mission by Santa Claus and his talking, cuddly canine companion, Paws, to save Christmas.
They both leave their chilly home at the North Pole to try and persuade the heir of one of their greatest benefactors, to continue with his grandfather’s good works.
Will they save the day? Why not find out?! ?
