Applications open for Kinship Foundation 2022 fellowship ($6,000)

Applicants are invited to apply for the Kinship Foundation 2022 Fellowship. Kinship Foundation is a private operating foundation established to support the Searle Family’s institutional philanthropy.

Fellows are encouraged to find new solutions to real-world conservation concerns through a case study methodology. Fellows will participate in dynamic workshops, collaborative and autonomous projects, and field visits over the course of the month.

A faculty of international specialists will deliver the program, working closely with each carefully selected cohort of Fellows to find novel ways to apply market-based methods to environmental concerns.

The 2022 Fellowship, set to run from June 25 to July 26, 2022, will take place in Bellingham, Washington, USA.

Eligibility

The foundation is on the lookout for conservation leaders that have

At least five years of on-the-ground experience

Four-year college degree in the United States (or its equivalent).

A passion for conservation.

Expertise in implementing market-based solutions to environmental problems.

The willingness to join an increasing network of global leaders.

Proficiency in both oral and written English.

Proposed a project that describes an environmental concern relevant to the applicant’s work and intentions to seek a solution using market means.

Successful applicants will have a working knowledge of business and economic principles and will operate in an environment where these principles can be applied to conservation efforts.

Prize

Those who are selected will receive a month of valuable training and a $6,000 stipend.
