Africa is recognized as one of the most blessed continents in the world when you consider its abundant natural, marine, and terrestrial resources. Yet, most of these riches, particularly the marine resources which contribute to the Blue Economy, are yet to be responsibly harnessed to drive Africa’s sustainable economic and social transformation.
In light of this, African startups that are tackling challenges within the blue economy sector are invited to apply for the 2021 Blue Economy Accelerator program.
Launched by Pangea, a Norwegian-based accelerator program and an investment platform that connects African startups with investors, the accelerator aims to create enabling environment where African entrepreneurs can grow to their full potential. Through the program, Pangea is committed to supporting the growth of Africa’s Blue economy sector in a digital, sustainable, and inclusive way.
To this end, the Blue Economy Accelerator has been designed to strengthen female and youth-led, ocean-based enterprises participating by facilitating access to financing, business support, and technology adoption.

What to expect
The 3-months program will equip participants with the necessary tools and skills to secure investment from a pre-selected pool of investors. Also, experienced coaches will facilitate scheduled or tailored mentorship to provide unique growth strategies for each company.
