Hello kids. Welcome to #ClimateStory4Kids!
This story is about a family of sea turtles who lived in a beautiful and big sea along with other sea animals. They were a family of six; the father, the mother, and their four children. The children were named Gabby, Emmy, Lily, and Rose.
Rose, the oldest daughter, was about to get married to a young sea turtle named Kally. Life was not easy for Rose’s family because they were poor and were often mocked by the other sea families, including the fish, sea snakes, and even some sea turtles.
They would laugh at Rose’s family anytime the sea was troubled, and they were unable to protect themselves. The matter became even worse than ever when Kally’s family refused to let their son marry Rose because of their poverty, which led to a big fight between the two families.
One day, Rose’s father went to see the wise sea king to seek help and explained how they were bullied and mocked by the other sea animals. He also mentioned that there was no unity among them. The sea king called all the sea animals together and spoke to them about unity.
The sea king said, “We are one and that the poor and the rich should have the same benefits, love and care for each other because they are all part of the same community.” The sea animals understood the king and agreed to show kindness and love to rose’s family and to one another.
Finally, the day of the wedding between Rose and Kally arrived. All the sea animals gathered, dressed in their finest outfits, were waiting for Kally to arrive. They knocked on Kally’s door many times, but there was no response. They became worried, broke the door, and saw that Kally was in a deadly nylon net and could not move.
The sea animals quickly joined hands and freed Kally from the net. They were shocked and sad to see how pollution had entered the sea and destroyed their lives.
After the wedding ceremony, the sea animals took it upon themselves to clean their beautiful sea. To their surprise, they found oil spills and different types of waste in their home. The sea animals were deeply worried because they had noticed that many young sea animals were falling ill and dying, unable to cope with the pollution in the water.
They soon realized that the pollution was the cause of the young sea animals’ suffering. They made a promise to themselves to protect their beautiful sea. They placed a poster at the entrance of their sea gate that read, “Let the sea breathe and stop killing our babies with your waste.”
Some sea animals agreed to become “sea soldiers” to guard the sea gate, preventing waste or pollutants from entering. The sea animals chose a day, every Saturday, when they would come together to clean the sea.
From that day forward, the sea animals lived in harmony, and they continued to protect their sea and their families. They understood that their actions mattered and that they could make a difference. Together, they were determined to keep their sea clean, safe, and alive for future generations.
And so, the sea turtles and their fellow sea animals taught everyone the value of unity and love. They showed the world that by working together, they can fight pollution and protect our beautiful planet.
The end!
