KTN Global Alliance Africa is supporting companies to find innovative solutions to AgriFood challenges in Kenya and Circular Economy challenges in South Africa through its Innovation Exchange programme.
KTN Global Alliance Africa has launched 3 Open Innovation Challenges as a part of its Global Alliance Innovation Exchange programme to support Unilever, Flamingo Horticulture International, and WEEE Centre to find innovative approaches to agricultural pest control, plastic reuse and refill, and electronic waste recycling.
These challenges are designed to introduce companies with specific challenges to the innovators who are already working on the solutions.
Benefits
Successful applicants will get the chance to:
- Collaborate and develop new business opportunities with key industry stakeholders who are actively seeking the most innovative solutions to help them address existing challenges that are facing their businesses.
- Pitch training and mentorship.
- A milestone-based Seed Funding of up to 25,000 GBP.
Selection Criteria
- Priority will be given to Kenyan, South African or Nigerian companies.
- Applicants must be willing to commit their time and resources to collaborate with the company (if selected).
- Applicants must be willing to demonstrate their impact and achievements in line with Seed Funding milestone requirements.
Timeline
- Application deadline: January 28, 2022.
- Selection and notification of finalists: February 14, 2022.
- Pitch day: w/c March 7, 2022.
